In these terms, “Sell Any Mobile”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this website and comparison service.

We are not a recycler, device buyer, retailer, marketplace, payment provider, postal operator or inspection service. We do not buy or sell devices, take possession of them, process payments, issue recycler offers, arrange postage, inspect devices or determine the outcome of a sale.

These terms govern access to and use of sellanymobile.co.uk, its search and comparison tools, recycler directory, forms, guides and other content. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.

Definitions and eligibility

“Recycler” means an independent third-party business that buys, recycles, refurbishes or otherwise handles devices and may appear in comparison results, the UK Recycling Websites directory or elsewhere on the website. “Offer” means price and service information supplied by a recycler for a particular device, condition and, where relevant, network. “User”, “you” and “your” mean a person accessing or using the website.

The comparison service is intended primarily for adults in the United Kingdom. You must be legally capable of entering into any agreement you make with a recycler. If you use the website for or on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Headings help navigation but do not change interpretation. “Including” means including without limitation.

A comparison service, not a buyer or adviser

Sell Any Mobile is free for consumers. A recycler may pay us a flat £5 fee only when it successfully receives a device referred through the platform. That fee does not make us the recycler’s agent, does not transfer responsibility for the sale to us and does not guarantee any outcome.

Device condition and recycler inspection

Condition descriptions shown on Sell Any Mobile are comparison aids. Terms such as new, used, damaged, faulty or non-working are not universal industry standards. A recycler may use different definitions, tests, grading thresholds, deductions and evidence requirements.

You are responsible for selecting the condition that honestly reflects the device and for giving accurate details about its model, storage, network, locks, function, damage and completeness. A recycler may assess the device differently after physical inspection. It may confirm, reduce, replace or withdraw an offer in accordance with its own terms.

Any disagreement about inspection, grading, condition, deductions, counter-offers, returns or the final price is between you and the recycler. Sell Any Mobile does not inspect the device, control the recycler’s assessment or adjudicate the sale.

Recyclers are independent businesses

Every recycler operates independently, using its own legal entity, commercial judgement, terms, condition criteria, postage arrangements, customer service, payment methods, payment timing, returns process and complaints procedure. A recycler does not act for Sell Any Mobile and we do not act for it.

We do not control and are not responsible for a recycler’s business, financial standing, solvency, staffing, service quality, communications, inspections, decisions, payment performance or compliance. The presence of a recycler, its logo or its offer does not mean that we vouch for, endorse, guarantee or recommend that business.

No guarantee of price, payment or service

We do not guarantee any quoted or final price, payment date, payment method, postage service, returns service, inspection standard, response time, customer service level or other outcome offered or provided by a recycler.

Statements such as free postage, free returns, fast payment or payment within a stated period describe information supplied for that recycler’s offer. The recycler controls whether and how that service is delivered. You must verify the current terms directly before proceeding.

Your responsibilities before sending a device

You must own the device or have the lawful authority to sell it. You must not send a stolen, counterfeit, financed, leased, lost, insurance-blocked or otherwise unlawfully held device. You must disclose relevant locks, faults, damage and modifications honestly.

Before sending a device, back up anything you wish to keep, remove accounts and activation locks, remove SIM and memory cards where appropriate, erase personal data using the manufacturer’s current process, follow the recycler’s packaging instructions and retain evidence of tracked postage. You remain responsible for personal data left on a device and for checking that the recycler accepts the device and condition you intend to send.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.

Subject to that paragraph and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Sell Any Mobile is not liable for loss, damage, delay, non-payment, reduced offers, return disputes, loss of data, loss of a device, service failure or dissatisfaction arising from or connected with your dealings with an independent recycler, a third-party website, information supplied by a recycler, or a contract between you and a recycler. Such disputes must be pursued directly with the recycler concerned.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings, or business interruption. If you use the free consumer service and we are found liable for a loss arising directly from our breach, our aggregate liability will not exceed £100, unless the law requires a greater amount. This cap does not apply to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.

These limits reflect the free, informational nature of the platform, our lack of control over third-party transactions and the availability of direct claims against the recycler responsible for the sale. They apply only so far as fair and lawful in the circumstances.

Changes to these terms
