Selling something other than an Xbox?
Find a PlayStation, Nintendo console or any other device you want to sell.
The name is similar. The machine is not.
Series X or Series S is the first value decision.
Microsoft's naming can make two genuinely different consoles sound like neighbouring versions. Shape helps, but storage, disc format and the model label complete the identification.
Start with the model labelColour alone is not enough.Check 1TB or 2TB storage, then confirm whether the exact edition has a disc drive or is all-digital.
3 published productsDesigned for disc-free gaming, with storage commonly distinguishing 512GB and 1TB product records.
3 published productsXbox One, One S, One X and Xbox 360 are separate products, not alternative names for Series X or Series S.
The console leaves. The account stays yours.
Separate Microsoft Account, Game Pass, saves and payment access.
Game Pass is an ongoing account relationship, not an accessory transferred with the hardware. Selling or resetting the console does not automatically cancel a membership, and the next owner should never receive access to your Microsoft Account.
Read the full selling safely guideConfirm the reset has finished and no personal profile remains before the console is packed.
An upgrade with a real contribution
The old Xbox can reduce the cost of the next gaming decision.
An Xbox sale often happens while another console, storage expansion or wider gaming upgrade is still being considered. That makes the current comparison more useful than a vague idea of what the console once cost.
Announcements can bring more sellers into the market quickly. Compare the exact model while the decision is active, without assuming a future launch or seasonal rush guarantees a better price.
Use a real current offer as one honest part of the upgrade budget.
Series X, Series S and Xbox One serve different second-hand markets.
512GB, 1TB and 2TB records should never be treated as interchangeable.
Confirm the exact edition before judging any recycler comparison.
Condition means function and completeness
Test the drive, ports and controller before judging the casing.
A marked Xbox can still play perfectly. The larger price questions are whether the exact model powers on reliably, connects and outputs correctly, reads discs where a drive exists and arrives with every item the recycler expects.
Search every XboxDo not describe an all-digital model as a console with a faulty missing drive.
Test HDMI output, USB ports, networking, cooling and stable operation.
Check sticks, buttons, triggers, battery contact and wireless connection.
Power and HDMI cables may be expected, while extras and games usually stay separate.

After the Xbox arrives
The console is verified as a complete gaming system.
The recycler confirms the generation, edition and storage, checks the account state and tests power, output, connectivity, cooling, ports, controller pairing and the disc drive where one exists.
A working Xbox may return to another player. Repairable machines can support refurbishment, while controllers and usable parts can follow their own routes. Responsible material recovery remains the final option.
Xbox selling questions
Clear answers before the Xbox funds what comes next.
Questions about Series X and Series S identification, value, storage, disc and digital editions, accessories, Game Pass and Microsoft Account safety.
Read how selling safely worksThe best place depends on the exact Xbox, its generation, storage, disc or digital format, working condition and the items expected with it. Sell Any Mobile compares current offers from verified UK recyclers so you can review price, postage, returns and payment terms before choosing where to sell.
There is no honest value that fits every Xbox. A Series X, Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One S and Xbox 360 sit in different markets. Storage, disc-drive function, edition, controller expectations, modification and overall working condition can all affect the available offer.
The Series X is the taller rectangular console and may have a disc drive, although an all-digital Series X also exists. The Series S is the smaller console with a prominent circular vent and is designed for disc-free gaming. Check the model label, storage and full product name rather than relying on colour alone.
Recycler requirements vary. Some offers expect the correct working controller, power cable and HDMI cable, while others may value the console separately. Match the exact Xbox first and read the accessory terms before assuming an incomplete set will receive a complete-set price.
Game Pass is connected to the Microsoft Account rather than becoming part of the physical console sale. Selling or resetting an Xbox does not by itself cancel a subscription. Review the membership and recurring billing separately, remove the account from the console and never give the buyer access to it.
Back up or synchronise wanted saves where appropriate, remove local profiles, review Microsoft Account payment methods and subscriptions, then follow Microsoft's current console reset guidance. Confirm that no account, payment access or personal data remains visible before posting the Xbox.
